Unloader for Nut Wizard

Size: Extra Large

MADE IN UNITED STATES

Replacement Unloader.  Does not need to be purchased separately, one comes with each tool purchase.

Extra unloaders are helpful when using more than one bucket to gather nuts & fruits.

The unloader is a bent piece of wire that is shaped like a horseshoe with a tight bend that pinches the top lip of a bucket or trash can. When the basket is pushed down onto the unloader and twisted, it opens the basket and allows the nuts or fruit to fall out.

Fits most standard size buckets or trash cans. For larger trash cans you might need a shim to make it
tight enough to stay on.  Some customers have also attached the unloaders to wagons or wheelbarrows.

A great accessory to any nut gathering tool… when it works.

I purchased Unloader for Nut Wizard because it looked like a perfect way to do a simple unloading of the nut wizard basket. However, the Unloader does not fit many buckets that are available today. At my disposal I had several plastic 5 gallon buckets, but the bend in the nut wizard wouldn’t accommodate the lip of the 5 gallon bucket. I actually had to whittle away portions of the 5 gallon bucket’s lip in order to get the nut wizard to fit, and even then it would fall off when I tried to use it. I finally had to drill some holes into a ridge around the top of the bucket in order to fit the Unloader’s two prongs more securely into the ridge. Once I did all that it worked fine. I get that it’s just a simple piece of metal that’s been bent in an elaborate way, and that makes it easy to manufacture. But anyone wanting to purchase it should be aware that they may need to make some adaptations to their own situation in order to get it to work reliably.

The new ones don't fit the buckets as well as the old ones. I had to re-bend mine so the hold the bucket well and bent to create a sharper point to open better.
