Alabama Horticulture Producers

The Horticulture Division of the Alabama Farmers Federation seeks to address and meet the unique needs of farmers who produce Alabama’s edible horticultural products, including pecans. The Alabama Farmers Federation has partnered with the Alabama Farmers Market Authority to promote the Buy Fresh, Buy Local campaign.

Alabama Pecan Growers Association

The Alabama Pecan Growers Association’s mission is to provide an organized mechanism for the enhancement of profitable production and marketing of pecans by and on behalf of pecan growers within the state of Alabama.


Arkansas Pecan Growers Association

The Arkansas Pecan Growers Association is a member association that is designed to meet the education and business needs of all the state’s pecan growers. Benefits of membership include reduced rates to the annual conference, free subscription to Pecan South, free subscription to Georgia Pecan and sharing information with other Arkansas pecan growers.


California Pecan Growers Association

The California Pecan Growers Association is a non-profit growers association established to assist growers with the cultural aspects of pecan growing. It is open to pecan growers and associate members who have an interest in the California pecan industry.

UC Davis Fruit & Nut Research & Information

The Fruit & Nut Research and Information Center was created to coordinate and make publicly available University of California research-based information and extension activities in planting, growing and harvesting fruits and nuts. Specifically, they research pest and disease management of pecans.


Georgia Pecan Commission

The Georgia Pecan Commission funds research, educational and promotional programs in order to increase demand for Georgia’s pecans. The commission raises awareness of the nutritional, health and economic benefits of pecans as a regular part of the American diet, resulting in increased sales and trade opportunities for pecan growers in Georgia.

Georgia Pecan Growers Association

Georgia Pecan Growers Association strives to provide educational opportunities, industry updates and support to its members. To its members, they provide updates on current market conditions, a networking resource with other growers, a free subscription to quarterly magazine, the Pecan Grower, and updates on what’s happening in Washington, D.C. that affects the pecan industry.


Louisiana Pecan Growers Association

The purpose of the Louisiana Pecan Growers Association is to unify a group of pecan growers and/or other individuals who will promote Louisiana pecans and all industries related to Louisiana pecans for the betterment, growing, distribution and marketing of pecans.


Mississippi Pecan Growers Association

The Mississippi Pecan Growers Association provides the most up-to-date production, pest management, marketing and nutrition information for pecan growers and consumers. Their main objective is to encourage and assist in the growing of pecans in the state of Mississippi.

New Mexico

New Mexico Pecan Growers Association

The New Mexico Pecan Growers Association represents the interests of pecan growers in the state.

New Mexico State University – Pecan Industry Research

NMSU was awarded a grant of $4.4 million by USDA’s Specialty Crop Research Initiative on August 8, 2016. The goal of the project is to breed more productive pecan trees that will lead to improved production of pecans.

Texas A&M’s Department of Entomology’s AgriLife Extension Service researches several aspects of agriculture, natural resources and life sciences. Particularly interesting for pecan growers is their study and resources for information about pecan-related insects. The extension service also holds an annual short course for new or aspiring pecan growers.

Texas Pecan Board

The Texas Pecan Board aims to provide an organized community for pecan growers and sellers within the state of Texas. They are also in charge of marketing Texas pecans both nationally and internationally.

Texas Pecan Growers Association

The Texas Pecan Growers Association’s mission is to assist Texas pecan growers in growing pecans profitably through education, research and promotion of consumption. TPGA publishes a monthly magazine, Pecan South. They also publish the Pecan Newsletter each fall during harvest season to keep growers updated on current market conditions.

National (USA)

National Pecan Growers Council (a.k.a U.S. Pecans)

U.S. Pecans is an industry effort by pecan growers and processors to promote international marketing of US-grown pecans. The industry is cooperating with USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service to receive MAP (Market Access Program) funding.

National Pecan Shellers Association

The National Pecan Shellers Association is a non-profit trade association committed to educating culinary and health professionals, food technologists and the general public about the nutritional benefits, variety of uses and all around great taste of pecans.

Southeastern Pecan Growers Association (AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC)

The objectives of the Southeastern Pecan Growers Association include the promotion of interest in the pecan industry, discussion involving problems of production, management and marketing of pecans. Scientists and growers from Southeastern states, as well as visitors from other areas, present papers and statistics on a wide variety of topics at meetings.

Western Pecan Growers Association (AZ, CA, NM, TX)

The Western Pecan Growers Association is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting and encouraging the production and marketing of pecans in the western region of the United States. It also aims to provide education and research for the development and betterment of the pecan industry.
