I had seen these advertised in the years past but recently saw a video of a Nut Wizard being used. After seeing that I decided to purchase the large one for picking up walnuts. I was really surprised that it actually works like described. I have found that when the basket is getting full that rolling the basket towards oneself will pick up some nus that it doesn't get going forward with it. The Nut Wizard certainly saves a lot of wear and tear on my back.
The nut wizard was exactly the type of tool we’d been looking for to help collect the gazillion black walnuts that drop in our yard each year! Our only request: add a lock washer to the handle so the basket stays tight. Otherwise, A+++product!
Works well with smaller size nuts. Especially in a dry year when hulls are smaller.
I have a large black walnut tree which can make for a messy cleanup every fall. The Nut Wizard makes the whole clean up SO MUCH easier. Its built with sturdy materials and is worth every dollar.
I wish I knew about this tool years ago.
I've tried several nut rollers, and this one is my favorite. Mostly because of the long handle. I'm not particularly tall, but all of the others I've tried make me feeling like I'm hunching over. The only problem I've had with mine was easily fixed: the handle kept unscrewing itself during use. I put on a 10 cent lock washer, and problem solved! They really should include one. Love that it's made in USA!
I don’t know how we would survive the fall with our Black Walnut tree dropping its nuts. Using the Nut Wizard makes a backbreaking and time consuming job into something we can easily manage. I don’t know how we ever did without it. Whoever invented it is a genius!
We have a bumper crop of acorns this year and the small nut wizard has made the work of picking them up much easier! The grandchildren are able to use it easily, too!
For decades, my family has picked up apple windfalls one-at-a-time, bending over for each apple; the Nut Wizard has ended this.
The Nut Wizard is a dream! We gently roll the Nut Wizard over the apples, and just like that they are caught up in the basket.
Emptying the basket is also easy with the unloader. We have unloader attached to a 5 gallon bucket, and one to a garden tractor trailer (one unloader comes with each Nut Wizard). Not all 5 gallon buckets fit the unloader well, but by drilling a couple holes or getting a different style bucket, it works great. One note on the trailer mount: make sure to secure the unloader, we didn’t and it bounced out and was lost, luckily we eventually found it.
enabled me you get the acorns out of the mulch without comprising it! A great product.
Ordered the large size which is recommended for black walnuts among others. So effortlessly accumulates the nuts in the basket!
Comes with a handy emptying tool which fits into a 5gal bucket.
